Public finance management is one of the main concepts that form the core of public administration. The research included various theories and concepts put forward throughout history regarding the role and obligations of the state in the economy. In the article, the essence of the concept of the financial system was explained, information was given about the components of the financial system of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and its role in state administration was noted. It was also explained to formulate a policy for the management of government financial resources and ensure its implementation, the place of financial resources of subjects with different forms of ownership in the financial system of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the activities of state bodies in the relevant field.
