The article explains the provision of quality food and its socio-economic essence. The importance of quality in food safety and security is justified. The dynamics of transgenic crop production in the modern world is analyzed. The statistics of land areas devoted to GMO crop production in different countries are presented. The potential opportunities of the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan are being considered. The authors argue that East Zangezur and Karabakh economic regions have rich potential opportunities in terms of quality food production. In the article, the provision of infrastructure in the territories freed from occupation and its role in the use of potential opportunities are considered. The authors make recommendations for the production and provision of quality food products. In the article, suggestions and considerations were given in the direction of ensuring quality food production in the territories freed from occupation, protection of production processes in the area from chemical effects.
